It is without question that Foxwoods Resort Casino is one of the greatest entertainment venues in the world . . . and what better place than the MGM Grand at Foxwoods to host the very first World Cup of Mixed Martial Arts "Battle Challenge,The Road to Rome." This historic competitive event will feature for the very first time in U.S. history a challenge between the Professional Portuguese National Mixed Martial Arts team, coached by Jiu Jitsu Master Kleber Repolho and Team USA coached by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Master Ricardo Liborio. These teams seek not only to prove which country is producing the best MMA Athletes, but they also look to earn enough points to obtain an invitation to the 2017 WCMMA Championships in Rome, Italy. Following the five weight-class matchups in the WCMMA Team Battle Challenge will be the Main Event of the evening, as Russian World Combat Sambo Champion Alexey Oleinik will face the American 2x FILA Grappling World Champion Kelly Anundson for the WCMMA Super Heavy Weight World Title. The evening will also feature some of the most promising future stars of MMA in preliminary competitions. This is all happening on Saturday, September 15th at the MGM GRAND at Foxwoods.
